Aprille began 2020 as the new owner of Terpsichorean Dance Studio where she has been teaching since 1996. She looks forward to new challenges and opportunities owning a studio can provide as well as continuing what she loves most, teaching. Aprille has studied jazz, ballet, contemporary, musical theatre, tap and hip hop. Over the years she has trained at workshops such as Edge Performing Arts, NYCDA and LADF where she learned from Mandy Moore (So You Think You Can Dance) as well as teacher trainings in Seattle and San Francisco. She is the Senior Company Director and has lead many students to competitions and even to Disneyland to perform.
Aprille brings a level of enthusiasm and dedication that will challenge and inspire her students, and as a choreographer she hopes her passion for expressing one’s self through dance will be instilled in all of her students.
Shelley has been dancing with The Terpsichorean Dance Studio since 1993, and began teaching in 2002. She has been extensively trained in many styles of dance, including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, musical theater, hip-hop and modern. Her passion for dancing has taken her to special workshops such as Monsters of Hip-Hop, NYCDA, and LADF. But her love for Modern dance has always been her underlying drive. She took a special teachers training course in San Francisco for multiple styles of Modern dance. Most recently she has been fascinated and diving into GAGA style modern. She works on meshing her Martha Graham roots to Ohad Naharin and creating her own unique style she likes to discribe as "Earthy" "Natural" and "Raw". She strives to bring out the natural beauty of dance in every student. She loves her students and hopes to give them the confidence to express themselves through dance movement from their heart. "Every dancer has a light that burns in them, I just want to try to teach them how to express that through movement from their soul.”

Cindy has had a love for all forms of dance for over 35 years! She started taking tap, ballet, and jazz classes at Pro-Am Dance Studio in Fort Lauderdale, FL when she was 5 years old and has been dancing ever since. Cindy trained and performed throughout her childhood including many dance competitions around the country. She became a member of the professional dance group, Young Broadway Stars, at age 13 and continued to perform in that group until she went off to college. Cindy was fortunate enough to take many dance classes at the Florida State University’s School of Dance while attending FSU including ballet, jazz and modern. When Cindy moved to Bend she started searching for a local dance studio that offered adult ballet classes and was lucky to find Terpsichorean. She has been taking the adult ballet class here since then and is so grateful for the opportunity to teach. It's a dream come true for Cindy and she is so excited to share her passion for dance with young dancers.

Kali began dancing at Terpsichorean at the age of six. She danced with the studio for 12 years; studying ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, and hip hop. She also attended and competed at various workshops in the Pacific Northwest, including LADF. Kali taught hip hop at Terpsichorean her senior year, before heading off to college in Nebraska. In college she joined the Chadron State College dance team and also taught hip hop at a local studio. Fun Fact: upon her return from college, Kali rented the studio apartment, which is now Studio C, and lived upstairs for 3 years.
Kali returned once again in 2020 as the new office manager for Aprille. Kali will continue to be the friendly face at the door, but she is also very excited for the opportunity to teach Creative Movement and Hip Hop I.
“Terp holds a special place in my heart, it’s like a home that I keep finding my way back to. I’m looking forward to dancing with my studio family once again!”
Carmyn has danced with Terpsichorean for over 13 years studying tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary and modern. She’s loved performing and sharing her passion for dance with others since she was little. During her high school years at Terpsichorean, Carmyn was part of the Senior performing company and an assistant teacher, which gave her the opportunity to challenge her skills of learning and teaching dance. With the company she attended dance workshops statewide and helped teach workshops for kids at Terpsichorean. Teaching tap at the studio workshops was something she fell in love with, since tapping has always had a special place in her heart. Carmyn loves that tap is a way to empower young dancers whilst letting them have fun. And she can’t wait to share her enthusiasm for the style with her new students this fall!!
