Aprille Chadwell - Owner
Contemporary, Jazz, Rising & Elite Company
Aprille began teaching at Terpsichorean Dance Studio in 1996 and became the owner of the studio in January of 2020. During her career she has studied Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Modern and Tap. Over the years she has trained at workshops such as Edge Performing Arts, NYCDA and LADF where she learned from Mandy Moore (So You Think You Can Dance) as well as teacher trainings in Seattle and San Francisco. Aprille brings a level of enthusiasm and dedication that will challenge and inspire her students, and as a choreographer she hopes her passion for expressing one’s self through dance will be instilled in all of her students.

Ali Risdon
Ballet
Ali was born in Orange, California where she started dance training at the age of five with Helen Clarke and Kristen Potts at West Coast Conservatory of Ballet.. After her formal training Ali was accepted into the BFA program at the University of California Irvine. It was here where Ali studied with legends such as Donald McKayle, Danilo Radojevic and Diane Diefenderfer to name a few. In her junior year Ali was chosen to study in New York for a semester away at the American Ballet studios working with Ann Reinking, Donna McKechie, Tommie Tune and Alexander Filipov. After she completed her dance degree, Ali started on her Pilates certification path and professional performing career in dance. She performed with Anaheim Ballet, Dance West, Ballet Pacifica and with Nannette Brodie Dance Theatre for 15 years. She has had the opportunity to travel all over the United States, Europe and Mexico City performing. Ali has been a certified Pilates instructor since 1998, certified in Barre and enjoys sharing her passion of dance at Terpsichorean Dance Studio.

Madison Young
Hip Hop, Jazz, Elect & Elite Crew & Elect Company
Madison has been teaching at Terpsichorean since 2018. She has danced since she was two. She has been trained in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop, and Tap. Her favorite dance experience was going to Monsters Dance Convention and learning from choreographers such as Rhapsody James, Jaquel Knight, Nick Demoura, and Lisette Bustamante. Performance is her passion, particularly in Contemporary and Hip Hop. She is a looking forward to sharing her love of dance with her students in the years to come!

​Shay Rice
Hip Hop
Shay has been dancing at Terpsichorean for as long as she can remember. She is well balanced in many genres including Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, and Tap. Shay is also a part of the Elite competitive teams at the studio. Along with her training at Terpsichorean, she has taken classes with NYCDA’s world renowned staff and the University of Oregon’s nationally ranked collegiate dance team. Shay’s enjoyment of training and furthering her dance education rivals her passion for sharing her love of dance with others.

​Serena Willis
Rising Crew
Serena has been dancing for ten years and has been at Terpsichorean since 2022. She is part of the Elite Crew and Company competitive teams. She has trained in many genres but her favorites are Hip Hop and Contemporary. Serena has been assisting classes at the studio and is very excited to teach the Rising Crew! She is very passionate about dance and hopes to further her dance training after her senior year.

​Nancy Hahn Deal
Office Manager & Social Media Marketer
Nancy Hahn Deal is a creative leader with a career spanning design, dance, and performance. She built and ran a successful graphic design and marketing agency with locations in Jolla, San Diego and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She served as Branding & Marketing Manager for a premier San Diego ballet studio, promoting productions featuring Pacific Northwest Ballet lead dancers in a 3,500-seat theater. In the dance world, Nancy coached competition teams at high schools and junior colleges, judged for nine years, and toured the western states as a United Spirit Association (USA) Summer Camp Head Instructor. She also choreographed for three commercials, helped teach at the Los Angeles Olympics, and walked down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena’s iconic Rose Parade more than seven times. But beyond the stages, costumes, and campaigns, Nancy’s proudest and most important role is being mom to her daughter, Terra, and her son, Dawson - the heart behind everything she creates and pursues.
